Chiddy Bang – Baby Roulette

Baby Roulette is the newest track from the duo that met at Drexell University. Like “Rebel”, this is another song that won’t make it on the debut album The Swelly Life. It’s got the basic formula that we’ve all grown accustomed to from this duo; the flow from Xaphoon Jones, and the rap beat by Chiddy. Actually, I didn´t expected that these two artists went to the studio together. But here is the result. Check the vid below and see yourself.

The Strokes - Under Cover Of Darkness

Did you know it’s been five years since we heard any new music from the Strokes? I bet you didn’t know that, no one’s really mentioned it. (For those of you under 10, the Strokes were famous rock starts who dated models and didn’t wash their hair.)

Between babies and rehab and overrated solo albums, work on Angles began over two years ago. It was a slow start fraught with artistic differences, but by the time the band’s 2010 festival gigs rolled around there were no signs of tension. A snippet of “Under Cover of Darkness” isn’t much to go on, but it gives at least a small sense of the “classic” Strokes sound Nicolai promised the BBC last month.

Cut Copy - Need You Now

The record’s opener, “Need You Now” of the album "Zonoscope" has just released.
“Need You Now” is the band's most lengthiest track to date.

 

Its got a very nice beat and a sort of disco pop thing that only this Melbourne ensemble can craft. Dan Whitford’s falsetto literally sparkles and glistens as the beat gets louder and more vivacious. At over four minutes long, it seems to go by in a heartbeat. Zonoscope! Out from February 8th.

Colbie Caillat - I Do.

The amazing Colbie Caillat will return in 2011 with a new album (her third) entitled "All For You". The first musical offering from this new album will be "I Do", which has just leaked online! The single will for radio adds in the US on February 7th. 

 

It's cute, cheery and summery, but not Ms. Caillat's best. It's got a catchy chorus though, "i do i do i do i do" lol. Anyhow, I'm so ready for new Colbie Caillat music, bring on that CD! and welcome back! Her record label better not mess up this era like they did with "Breakthrough" in 2009. New Music Video: Laidback Luke ft Jonathan Mendelsohn - Timebomb

Yes, yes... Laidback Luke drops 'Timebomb' for Ego, his latest and soon to be smash hit single featuring the massive voice of Jonathan Mendelsohn.

Paul Simon - The Afterlife

 The Afterlife comes from Paul Simon’s forthcoming 12th studio album So Beautiful Or So What.

That is the same collection that brought us the “It’s Gonna Rain” reminiscent opener “Getting Ready For Christmas Day.” The rollicking second track “The Afterlife” follows “Christmas Day” on the tracklist. It’s a more straightforward and sunny track. Vampire Weekend fans should enjoy.

The Red Hot Chili Peppers will release there new album in March. Chad Smith, the drummer of the band, told that to Music Radar. They already recorded over 20 songs and there are still some to do. Their new album will be their first to feature new guitarist Josh Klinghoffe, who has replaced John Frusciante.

James Blunt - So Far Gone

The White Stripes Broke Up!!

The band’s official website posted the announcement, saying:
“The reason is not due to artistic differences or lack of wanting to continue, nor any health issues as both Meg and Jack are feeling fine and in good health. It’s for a myriad of reasons, but mostly to preserve what is beautiful and special about the band and have it stay that way.”

It also pointed out that White’s Third Man Records will “continue to put out unreleased live and studio recordings,” but as far as making new material or appearing on stage together again, that seems to be over.
